In the condition that the underground water is contaminated by hydrocarbon, the spill is able to contaminate the downstream depending on the groundwater flow and causes some environmental and health problems. Not only should the approaches for decontamination be studied, but the spill also need to be controlled. In the present study, the batch tests were rendered by synthesis of calcium peroxide nano-particles and activated carbon micro-particles preparation to remediate the groundwater contaminated to toluene and benzene ( 100 mg / L ) in 100 mL vials. The investigation was performed by monitoring the dissolved oxygen ( DO ), pH, microbial population and contaminant concentration within 60 days. Furthermore, to investigate the microbial community's growth on the activated carbon, scanning electron microscopy ( SEM ) was applied. The results revealed that combination of the two methods activated carbon particles injection to trap the contaminants calcium peroxide nano particles application in groundwater is able to improve the remediation efficiency up to 20 % than only calcium peroxide injection and 50 % more than activated carbon injection. Meanwhile, scanning electron microscopy assay showed the higher microorganisms activity by creating colonies on the porous activated carbon particles which resulted in considerable remediation efficiency. In the microbiological studies, about 1000 microorganisms higher per milliliter was observed in the media contained calcium peroxide and activated carbon. Finally, it was found that combination of the two approaches improves the calcium peroxide nano particles removal ability and it is also causes the maximum remediation by spill entrapment.
